ODBC Drivers error '80040e14'

Hi,

I'm using MS SQL SERVER 2005 on my localhost. I have converted my MS Acess database to MS SQL db using MS SQL 2005 wizard.

My hosting company are using MS SQL Server 2000. After creating a .bak file, i have uploaded to my host. But they have received the following error:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e14'

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Too many backup devices specified for backup or restore; only 64 are allowed.

/SQLMgr/EntMgr.asp, line 1408

They have requested a valid .bak file from me.

Some versions of SQL Server 2000 (SP3 to be more precise) are known to cause exactly identical error.

But what Access to SQL2005 conversion has to do with that?

We are using "sql server 2005 management studio" for conversions. Do you think that it makes a compatilibility problem with sql server 2000?

You say that you converted an Access DB to a SQL2005 DB, and are trying to use it on a SQL 2000 Server? Is this correct?
If that is the case, you cannot connect to a sql2005 server from a sql2000 server. I am sure that is why the .bak file cannot be read. If you have sql2000 available, upgrade from Access to that.

I'dont want to switch to SQL 2000 in my localhost. Is there a way to make SQL Server 2005s' .bak file to be opend correctly with SQL Server 2000?

You don't have to "switch" to 2000, you can have both running on the same server.

2000 will not read a 2005 .bak file as I had expected. Your only choice is to create a 2000 or earlier backup.
