Hello, I'm interested in trying to connect to a sybase sql anywhere v5 database via excel97 ms query with odbc. I need to create a csv file of some data to be up loaded to oracle. Not sure if I need a odbc or jodbc driver?

Sounds like you need ODBC. Check the ASA docs for info on how to configure the ODBC data source. (See my FAQ on "Where can I read about..." for info on how to view the on-line docs if you don't have them at hand.)
