i would like to connect through sybase using windows odbc, can anyone please advice me the steps and drivers needed to install to be able to connect sybase? thanks in advance.

All the necessary drivers should be on the Sybase CDs from which your server was installed. This is the safest route to take as you are most likely to get the correct version.

If that's not available, then the files can be downloaded via ftp from sybase.com but you may need information about your support agreement - Sybase don't seem to make it easy!

I believe there is a download for Windows clients that's related to the Linux server beta - the Open Client and ODBC drivers should be OK.

However you get the package, setting up is straightforward: just run setup.exe!

Did anybody have any luck installing ODBC drivers for SYBASE on a WIn 2000 machine.
Any help is appreciated.

I run ODBC on my Win2K box all the time; so the install worked for me.... Unfortunately, it's been a long time since I did it, but I don't believe I had any difficulty. If you're still fighting this and you have specific questions, perhaps we can help....
