I am pretty new to ODBC, so please bare with me.

I'm trying to establish an ODBC link through MS Access to tables from another software package. I'm getting nowhere with the "standard" ODBC options. I contacted the software company, and they responded that the software, "has a SQL database, which uses ODBC". I notice in one of the folders for the software, there is a file called "ODBCSTF.dll". Do I need to do something with this driver?

I know this may be vague, but any help would be most appreciated!

You need to know what kind of database it is and use the appropriate driver. Does this software run on the machine you are trying to access the database from?
