ODBC Cursor not found error

We have been accessing AS400 files from a PC using ODBC for the past three years.
Suddenly all the files are inaccessible and the following error message is generated.
[IBM](iSeriesAccessODBCDriver)[DB2 UDB][SQL0501-CursorSQL_TABLE_CURSOR not open

Has anyone else had this problem, and how can I solve it?
