I need to link a MSSql7 database in Access7. On my workstation that has the SQL client, I have no problem setting up an ODBC connection. On the other, with no client, I cannot? Am I doing something wrong, or does the workstation have to have the client loaded before an ODBC connection can be established???
Thank You.

Have you checked in the drivers tab of the ODBC Data Source Administrator for the SQL Server driver. You need to have the SQL7 ODBC driver on your client before you can create a connection. Durkin

Thanks. After a little more investigation, I saw that the ODBC drivers on one workstation are way out of date, so I am in the process of updating those now. Hopefully that will take care of it.
