Hi,

Could somebody help me, I need to know how can I trace a connection ODBC to informix database.

Thanks

Hi!

One way would be the following:

On the client set the system-environment-variable SQLIDEBUG to the value:

2:C:\temp\mylog

(including the complete line)

Now when you make up a connection you will get a file

c:\temp\mylog_<sessionid>

This file can be viewed with the tool sqliprt.exe which is delivered with older versions of informix-client-sdk and should be in your path anyways.

Hope this will help you further.

Hi,
Can I access an informix server from a MS SQL Server? And if yes, how?

Hi Burcht!

I am not familiar with MS SQL-Server. Maybe you should post that question in an MS-SQL Server forum or at least start a new thread, so everybody will read your request.

In MS-Access you can define a database link to external databases and reference that just like an access-table. Maybe there is such kind of functionality in MS-SQL Server too, but thats just a guess.
