Hello everyone:
I just took over two systems(one running sql server 2000 and the other running sql server 7). I migrated everything onto one system so that I can use Sql server 2000 for both. Well, I wrote an update registry file so that when I e-mailed it out to the users all they had to do was doubleclick it so that they would now be connected to the new server without a glitch. Well, for some reason it is not allowing an odbc connection to the new server. So, I tried manually but to no avail. Now when I add them to the groups as an admin then it allows the connection. But, that is the only way. I checked all permissions, logins and everything else, and am not sure why it is not allowing people to connect to the new server. I am pretty sure it has to do with security, but what. I would appreciate any assistance in this matter. Thanks
