ODBC connection error in Infoview

Hi, I've created a report which connects to a SQL Server 2008 SQLExpress database instance. The report is running fine from the designer, but when I upload it to Infoview, it's giving me an error. I've set up a identical ODBC connection on the machine that the Crystal Enterprise Server is on and when I test the connection, it comes back with connection successful - so does anyone know why this is not working in Infoview?

When you test the ODBC connection on the server, are you using your domain account or the account that the job and/or page servers are using? That is the account that has to have rights to connect to the database.

Which version of BOE are you using?

 
More then likely you need to hardcode the database login information for the report within the cms or have infoview prompt for the database info which can also be done within the cms. As far as I know, the job/page service does not pass database logon information to a report... but I've been wrong before.
 
Correct, in R2 it's the CMS service that has to run under a domain account with db rights. Only when the datasource is external, such as an Excel file, would the job/page server credentials matter for refreshing the report. Thanks, BV.

 
One piece of information I've omitted is the fact that the ODBC connection is made a remote server via ip address using the SQL Native driver, so I don't think connecting via a domain account will help as the server which hosts the database is not on our domain - any ideas?
