I'm using access 97, and have an sql pass-through query to access an oracle table. It has the following property:

ODBC;DSN=GARP;UID=demo;PWD=demo;

In order to run the query, I have to set up the Data source on my machine. My access database is on the LAN, and I want many users to be able to run the query without the hassle of setting up the datasource on each of the user's machines.

Can I specify the connect string details in the ODBC Connect Str's property without using DSN?

Thanks,
Bao

Thanks for your info Duane. I used FileDSN in the Microsoft query to connect to the Oracle table. The FileDSN is on the LAN so all users can access it.
