Hi everybody, :)

I'm trying to make an ODBC connection with an Oracle 8.0.5 DB, but everytime I use this odbc conn, I have to put a login and a password.
Is there any way where I can set the user and password so I don't have to set it everytime??

I've tried in the ODBC config, in the user field, using something like user/password, but it didn't work

Thank you!! :)

I think that is going to depend on what you are using to try to make this connection. MS Access has a string that you pass that will include the login and password, but I have to admit, I have never got it to work. What are you trying to connect with? Terry M. Hoey

I'm using QARun to access Oracle to insert some data into a table which I've created.
QARun will monitor a web site and check if there is any kind of erros in the web site, if there is an error, a log file will be written and the same error I want send it to Oracle.
But everytime QARun tries to send it, oracle ODBC asks for login and password.

I think this is going to be a question for QARun, not Oracle. They have to give you this capability before you can use it. Maybe someone else here will have experience with it. Otherwise, try their help desk. Terry M. Hoey
