Hi,
My company has many custom databases built by our team of in-house developers, they run on an Access\VB front end and connect to Oracle DB back end. The previous build of ODBC drivers used for desktops to connect was Oracle ODBC 7.3.2.5
We needed to use this because some of the apps where written in Access 2, these have since been converted and we have decided to go to version 8.0.6. Most of the apps work fine however there is one that uses OLE Automation rather than ODBC to connect to the backend, and this is consistently giving off an ODBC call failed error..
Has anyone got any experience with upgrading OLE from 7.3 to 8i. Surely there must be a patch we can put on the users machines to rectify this.
Any help greatfully recieved.....
