We use ODBC to link Progress to Access for Reporting and our data preparation tool.

More often than not we are getting ODBC Call fail; we get the same when we use the SQL explorer tool.

Is there another way to connect directly to progress or an improved ODBC connection, it appears that if the field length exceeds 2000 characters ODBC fails.

We are currently using Vantage 5.1.128 with progress 9.1c

Any help here would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,

I know that there is a fix relating to Progress 9.1D and Vantage 9.1d and the relevant sql driver. This relates to fixing the SQL length per field. I am afraid I Don't know whether this would work with your setup but epicor should have a fix.
