odbc and pervasive

I tryed to set up ODBC connection for Pervasive database
step by step but I am not getting the connection.
I am using CR.9 and pervasive SQL 2000
I can pull out the data using Btrieve data file from CR, but I want to set up ODBC in order to use data in Excel and Access
I know the location of .ddf fils and I see the Pervasive Driver but I am not getting the connection.

Any help?
