I have an ODBC link to a Microsoft SQL Server database, and use it to run queries in Microsoft Access via link tables. But everty time I run the queries for the first time I have to type the SQL server password.

Is there anyway to configure the ODBC connection/link tables to avoid having to type the password in each time ?

Thanks for any help

Dan

You can try relinking all the tables, but check the "save password" box at the bottom of the form.
Else supply the PW in the connect string:
ODBC;UID=You;PWD=YourPassword;FILEDSN=Your.dsn;DATABASE=etc...

Thanks for responding genomon - I'm using the ODBC front end in windows - there's a password field in there - but everytime I type it and then come out and back in - it's gone - I don't understand why it isn't "holding"

I've never been able to find it in the registry or anywhere else, so I suspect it's not saved.
