Hello there,

We currently use a Octel Serenade VMX-200 system, the PBX we interface ointo is a Nortel Option 81-C on Sucession 3.0 the intermittent problem that occurs is:

A) When a call is transferred from the names directory, they select the last three letters of the persons name, then select#, instead of transferring immediateley and getting to the mailbox destination, the user will hear a pause or music on hold for 10-20 seconds or more at times?

I had my Technician take a look at the ports in the VMX and we noticed that the peg counts looked normal and trickled down sequencially, except for a port or two on occassion.

Is it possible that the Meridian ACD sets configured that are suppose to be in a Login state to process calls are going into a Logout state? and require a manual reset back into a login state?

If this is true what is the cause? Configuration, missing patch, other? Please advise.

Thanks,

Henry

I would use the List Trace command and run a continuous trace and then do a test call using the names directory to see at what point the port "thinks" it has completed the transfer. This will help you determine what to look at, either the voicemail transfer or the pbx side.

Could you connect to the Opt81 with Procomm and a capture overnight and write a small script that Prints the ACD DN to see the agent states?
