I read you have to have a LAN card for SNMP traps? Otherwise it's dialing in or the system alarming out? I am not a good Octel guy but have been tasked to monitor 25 systems. What is the best manual to have for Octel Maintenance? These are version 1.x to 4.x.

Thanks

If you have no LAN cards, then it woul be best to dial-in, capture the alarm log and hang up.
We have done this for years. The script is made in Symphony.

Dial-in is done like this - for each costumer:
ATDxxxxxx,,,,###5
Login by entering the password.
At the @-prompt type L H
Save the output to af ile with date/time.
