Sorry if this has been asked already. My Octel 250 has outcalling rules to page a pager when a message has been left. This has suddenly failed for all voice mails with outcalling. The only thing that I have done recently is add new trunks. So now I have the original Trunk group 1 and a new Trunk group 5. There does seem to be an unrelated (?) issue with Transfering and Conferencing where when it is very busy, the Transfer ability will fail, but when it is slow the Helpdesk can transfer successfully. We think this is due to Trunk 5. When Trunk 1 is busy and the PBX tries to transfer a call through Trunk 5 it fails. I mentiuon this because it may help someone help me figure out what the hell is going on with the Octel Outcalling feature suddenly not working. The transfer issue is intermitten but the Octel is 100% failed.

Thank you to whoever can understand my issue and help, good luck, I am on day three of this mess.

If I can add, is there a trace feature like on the PBX where I can trace the voice mail as it tries to outcall?

Well I guess this issue stumped you guys? Anyway I did find out how to use the CDR trace and no Outcalling field appears when I test (leave a message after turning on outcalling and configuring the outcalling number). Checked the COR and it was ok, Checked the ports and funny thing is that 1H is suppose to be the only port used for outcalling and there are no outcalled attempts on that port but 2B has two attempts which is my tests it would appear.

well it sounds to me as if the ports on the octel may not be setup to use the new trunk group but i will need more info.

if you setup a port test in menu 20 and put and outside number in the field for the number to dial you should beable to trace it.

Let me know if you need more help
