I've octel 200 s.4.0.0-2. connected to MD110 BC12SP9

I've created a single digit menu to dial out to international numbers using shortdials in info table, index 6. It works perfectly with swedish and other international numbers but not belgium number (000322xxxxxx). It goes into loop without dialing out. If i dial the same belgium shortdial number as in info table from the phone it works meaning the number is correct. Any ideas?

You can find help in this thread that I wrote.
thread923-1104220.
Often this can be solved by setting the number of ringbacks to a higher level in the INFO table Index 7.

Check my info on Single Digit Menues and let me know your status on this topic.

In the INFO table index #7 is "RINGS BEFORE NO ANS" is often set to 4. You may increase this number up to 20.
Anyway your "Octel 200 s.4.0.0-2. connected to MD110 BC12SP9" is a very good combination!

Hum, do your other Intern. numbers begin with 0? if your still having issues, post a copy of the COS & info table, the 200 may not like you useing a lead of 0 for an outbound number.

Doktor & octelvoice,

Below is cos and info table and still no joy. Strangely enough it dials other international numbers but not Belgium number as stated.

Hi Koobro

I assume that you are in Sweden and as I am in Denmark, (these countires are close to each other and use almost the same application system on the MD110) and I have no problems with calling to other countries including Belgium from my OCTEL VM system.
From your COS 26 you shold remove:
These 3 attributes:
6 Call EXTENSION first BEFORE playing GREETING.
15 Transfer to a RINGING EXTENSION.
34 TRANSFER calls WITHOUT CHECKING for busy or no answer.
The MD does NOT like the attribute 34!
/// doktor

Hi again
Also the "6. PRE EXTENSION DIGITS 98404" I dont like.
Can you check this value...?

/// doktor

Doktor,

I'm in Amsterdam and i've created an exact sdm for sweden with the same cos and info attributes and works fine. the only difference is the shortdial number for belgium.

Koobro

So it still doesn't work for Belgium, even after the removal of the mentioned COS attributes?
///doktor

Yes, but works for any other international number. If you have a sdm you may want to try with a belgium number maybe you can reproduce this situation.

Koobro

I am sorry that, I can't figure this one out.
Maybe the signalling from the beligian site towards your site is wrong...
///doktor

Have you tried dialing the Belgium number from an actual voicemail port to verify that it works? You could also use the List Trace command and see what the Octel 200 is dialing to make sure everything is good. You could also clip on with a test set and go into the monitor mode and just listen to the call progress. This may tell you whether the problem is on the Octel 200 side or if it is a switch problem.

Chuck

Guys,

I think i know what the problem is. Octel is sending the mailbox number after the prefix digits in index 6 of info table which it shouldn't do. See below:

SELECT TRACE TO BE LISTED. (1 - 7, EMPTY LINE = EXIT).
:2
Enter mailbox (Empty line = ALL)
:1134
Enter start time : Year Month Day Hour Minute or C (continuous)

Is there a suggestion to tell octel not to send the mailbox number?

Thanks

Koobro

In your SDM you press e.g. "1" to be transferred to a mailbox containg e.g a speed dialling number.
Here you enter MB 1134, then the system will send out:
98404, and then the MB number, as you have programmed in
your INFO table 26.
6. PRE EXTENSION DIGITS 98404
My suggestion is to set "PRE EXTENSION DIGITS" to NONE, and use the index 18 "NEXT MAILBOX ".
The Next Maibox should be the MB number for the speed dialling number (in MD110 Abbreviated numer (ABB)).
The MB 1134 should have a greeting recorded an the COS should have the attribute 27 (After GREETING plays, go to NEXT GREETING or MAILBOX).
This will work!
/// doktor

Doktor,

I've found a solution to my problem. You can configure pre-extension digits to include other characters as *, #, D for delay and E for expect dial tone. I tried E for delay ie 98404E and there was a long delay of about 20 secs but it dialed the number. I also tried 98404# meaning end of digits to send and it also worked.
Thank you very much for your tips and suggestions you've been very helpful.

Koobro

No worries, mate. Let me know if you have some problems at another time...
