Does anyone know if we lose any functionality by using this interface. I have encountered that we can't use the extended absence greeting when I turn this on. Please HELP!!!! Thanks in advance.

You do loose features whenever you choose either of the alternative interfaces. There are only 9 numbers on the keypad, not as many commands that can be used vs the two-digit commands that the regular interface uses.
