System is an Octel 250 Aria 3.11.05-1. Every couple of days I get an SA alarm because the status log fills up. Is there a way to prevent certain types of alarms from showing up in the log? I get a ton of "User exited with unheard messages". I don't need to know that. I need to know when there is a real problem.

I looked at menu 16.1.4, Database access, manage CDR, Change CDR records collected. Is this the section to control what goes into the status log? If so, what can I change to supress this one type of record?

Thanks in advance -

Sorry to tell ou that the only way to get rid of the unheard message reminder is to go into every mailbox and turn it from yes to no see below. other than that you can tell the online cdr not to report an overflow in menu 20 under online cdr and option 3 to turn the alarming off but that is it. The only other thing you can do is in menu 13-8 you can disable all software alarms but then you would have to look at menu 13-2 to see if there were any on the system and not look at the light.

Thank you for the response. I understand what needs to be done, but I figure I'll change the stations as they come up in the status log. Just to make sure I'm interpreting the log correctly, here is a sample entry:

06 JAN 05 09:04:31AM
*** Subscriber Exited With Unheard Messages
>>> INFORMATION ONLY
00000 24C01C00 85000000 00001FA0 ABA80100
00010 9E6A0200 44020000 00000479 32FFFFFF
00020 83323700

In line 00010, the "4" in the 6th position of the third octet indicates four-digit extensions, and following four digits "79 32" is the offending extension. Am I reading that correctly?

Thanks -

GREAT!! That means I only have to change a handful of mailboxes!

Thanks again for all your help with this.
