Yes, using In-Band. But only for call ID. Aspect does not have a way to tun on the MWI. Aspect has an internal voicemail system, and that is the only application that can turn on the MWI. We set the Octel to outcall the Aspect voicemail, and they would get a MWI because the Aspect would record teh Octel outcall prompts as a messae and turn on the MWI. This was a little messy, but it did work. This has also been several years ago, so Aspect may have changed something, so I would check out the MWI stuff for updates. Also, Aspect is not a PBX, it is a ACD system, they do not suport a lot of the traditional PBX features.
When you say inband for call ID do you mean that the Octel used the inband to go to the proper mailbox ? The app i am looking at doing would not have to have the MSG light.
Yes, It was several years ago, but the Aspect people set up some lines to teh Octel, and we used in-band for caller ID. This would put the caller into teh correct mailbox. Don't know if it can still be done today, or if they have a better way to interface the MWI.
