I just want to start out by saying I am new to the Octel VMS world, it was pitched to me because of all the cutbacks.
Anyway I am getting a "Error #2BH, can't load operating system" "fatal error 43" and I can't seem to get past this.
Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks,
JTMON

Are you still having the issue ?

When the system boots do you see any errors on start up before you get to the loading operating system prompt ?

I have been working on them for years and this sure sounds like a new one i have not seen.

If you can capture the screens on boot and post it would sure help.

the first thing i would do is swap the boot from A side to B side and see if that will let it load. If not then remove S0 and let it boot from S1.

Hard to say sometimes without putting eyes on it.

What city are you in ?

Thanks again for helping, I am sorry but how do you swap the side it boots from?

^du at the boot but you will need to clear auto boot for it to work.

What is it you are trying to do ? Put it back in service ?

Yes I am trying to put the system back into service. It was moved to it's present location and the guy that was assigned to it is out on medical leave now I have been asked to see what I can do to bring it back up.

If you have never worked on one then you will more than likely need some help.

I have the service manuals to refer to but this particular error is not address in them, that I have found.

Well good luck.

If you need us to help let me know.
