We have a Arial Octel 250 system which has a old line printer DX2500 connected to it. I would like to replace that printer.
What type of printers could I attach and how would I load the printer drivers?

Thanks!

any serial printer will work with that terminal if you had a Wyse 50+ you could also set it to use the parallel port for a printer. I do not think the HP has a port that can be used for a parole printer but I may be wrong as I have not used one in many years.

Sorry for bringing up an old thread.....but is there any other configuration necessary? Or can I just plug a parallel printer into the proper port on the terminal and run the reports? Do I have to config the system software with the printer specs, or is it programmed into the terminal itself (like the AT&T 513 & 715 terminals on Avaya PBX's)?

Thanks in advance -

It's a Wyse terminal - is it Control-F1 like the others?

Yes, there is a parallel port on the admin terminal, but there isn't a "setup" key on the keyboard. This keyboard looks just like a regular PC keyboard, except it has the small RJ- type connector on it which plugs into the terminal. I suppose I could play around with it and see what happens....

I don't think so.....I just started here recently, and haven't seen any docs yet.....

The terminal is model number WY-55ES, part number 901237-20; the keyboard is part number 901865-01.
