Is it possible to purchase a used Octel 250 and have it licensed or upgrade a current Octel 250 to expand the capacitity? We need to set up an Octel to move users to temporarily. We would like it to be at the maximum capacity for a 250.

What are you trying to achieve? How long a time would you need it for?

I think you can still get new lic's for the systems till June but to license the systems would be big $$

You may be able to rent or lease one.

You can certainly buy used systems that are fully loaded, however if your service providor is an official Avaya Business Partner and you try to have Avaya assist with any issues down the road on an unlicesnsed system you will have troubles. This being said, there are many assistance providers who can handle any of your Octel 250 troubles probably better than Avaya can at this point as the 250 is going away and Avaya is desparately trying to cut off that dying artery and move on with the Modular Messagings of the world.

Thanks for your replies. It appears we won't be needing the 250 after all.
