I have an OCTEL 250 with DMID integration. This morning the first two ports had excessive volume (static and unintelligible) System Greetings. Almost as if the impedance/loss package had changed on the analog ports.

Busied out the 1st two PBX ports, the rest worked fine.
Card Mgt. put the card out of service, pulled and reset the card, turned it back up, everything was fine.

Anyone else seen this before.

yes and in most cases it is the nortel ports not the Octel ports due to the fact that they get used the most.

Sometimes if the octel has not been rebooted or re-powered in 2 or 3 years it will cause this as well.

I'd worked with OCTELs for many years and hadn't seen that I remember the Mitel COV type integration would lock up a port once in a while but not the voice (analog) ports. It was usually the COV Msg wtg port(data over voice- line cards for the old Superset 4's)

Makes sense, the OCTEL has not been rebooted or powered down for a very long time and is integrated between an active and standby Meridian 1 for redundancy.

Thanks for the advice.
