Hello,
We have an Octel 250 for our office voice messaging service.
I assume that during the weekend there was a power failure
in the building. When I went back in the office the Octel
was trying to boot over and over again. An error message on
the terminnal was indicating that some ICP, or something
like that, was not found. I selected the B option in order
to boot the system. After that the system prompted me to
input the current date and time.
I thought that the voice server is more or less like a computer and it has some battery for the CMOS to keep the
time and date.
I was wondering if this is a case of just replacing that battery. And, if that is the case, could you please tell
me if this is a difficult operation that needs to be done by a technician? I am just IT support for the office and I do not have any experinece in dealing with telecom equipment.
Thank you.
