Greetings all - hope somebody can help. I'm looking for some guidance on what I can expect when doing a 3 to 4 digit conversion on an Octel 250. I found this thread but am looking for a bit more detail.
Mainly, my question is - Is there any way to do the conversion without losing existing mailboxes? I'm a bit gunshy going into the reformat menu. just typing the word here gets me all nervous like...

Thanks for any input...

It's been a few years, so I'm a bit rusty on this. But once you enter the reformat command, there's an option to do a digit conversion. You then specify what range of mailboxes gets a particular digit added. For example, mailboxes 1000-8999 can have a 1 added while 9000-9999 get a 9 added. The system will then make the changes and require a reboot. This will also update the auto attendants if they are pointing to particular mailboxes and extensions.

There is no need to wipe the system clean when going 3 to 4 digits.
