I installed Microsoft's October 2006 security patches on my W2K3 SP1 ePO Server and after rebooting the server, I am no longer able to logon to the ePO Console, both locally on the ePO Server and remotely with a remote ePO Console. I can still logon to the ePO Reports, but not the section where you set the policies. All services are started and running.

The error reported in console.log matches up to the Send LM & NTLM LAN authentication KB article on McAfee's web site, but that is not the issue for me.

Have you encountered anything similar on your ePO Server after installing the recent patches and have a solution? I'm hoping I don't have to uninstall the patches and that it is a minor tweak.

Thanks!

OK, I fixed it. For some odd reason, I had to re-enter the password in CFGNAIMS to get it working again. The area where the password is stored still had all the *'s in it, but I figured I would just re-enter the password and stopped and restarted the ePO Services and access was granted again. Odd since that password hasn't been changed at all either.

Must have been a stupid Friday the 13th occurance.
