OCI Errors with XML

I received the following pop-up "warning" in TOAD.

"The OCI sometimes has errors with data manipulation of XMLTYPE columns when the Oracle Client is less than 9iR2 or is less that the Oracle Server Version"

"Oracle Client Version: 10.2.0.1.0"
"Oracle Server Version: 10.2.0.3.0"

I have searched high and low for documentation about what these problems/errors might be. My search has come up empty.

Anyone have any ideads? Documents? Links?
