Hey all,
I've go two voice mails out there, a flash 4 port and a mini which occasionally for no apparrant reason dump their feature codes with the KSUs. Both KSUs are 6x16 DSs. A reboot restores the default feature codes. This is a pain. Anyone seen this before?
Mongo,
Happens regularly but erratically. The site with the Flash is my test site and has changed from an MICS 3.0 to the 6/16 and the event happened on both. When it was only the mini I wrote it off to a 'mini' problem and age. But this Flash, although not new by any stretch isn't the oldest thing out there. I have defaulted the programming to no avail.
I have been thinking about this one before I reply and the only thing I can think of is it's a fluke that you have to mails with bad capacitors.
Swith the KSU's again and if still happens then it's the vmails.
Possibly a very weak connection anywhere from the motherboard of the mails to the ports on the KSU's.
Curly,
I'll open up the flash and look for the capacitor. Connections appear good. The codes dump for no apparrant reason. I would think there would have to be an event that would trigger this but ?? Just thought if I had two of these things then perhaps I was not alone
The flash problem could also be bad firmware. Mini runs on a firmware/mechanical hardrive combo system... I though flash was a full firmware machine. Perhaps there is a piece of circuit between the port and the firmware that has gone weak here..??
On another note: There is an interconnect in the TO area who deals in Sprint telephone systems. You wouldn't happen to know who they are would you?
Curly,
Thanks. The Sprint thing is for a non profit environmental group who got stuck with it. Not a bad suite of equipent but we need to upgrade it or change it. I'm looking for solutions for either.
