Obtaining the username whenever a pdf file is opened.

Does anyone have a code snippet to obtain a username when a pdf file is opened? I want to write the username to an Access table when the document is closed.

I am currently doing this with Visual Basic in XL & Access, but I have never done it in a pdf document. (I don't know how to get into the code module, so instructions on how to get there would also be helpful). In addition to VB, I am also familiar with Java Script.
