Obtaining data on submit ??

I am new to perl.I need to know the code as to how we can pass the values from one form to the other on pressing the submit button. I tried using some of the codes that were given in few materials. Though i could follow them i was not able to get the output. I just want to display the values that i enter in the html file, in the perl file upon submit. Can anyone help me with a simple peice of code?
