Hi,

I have to analyse 600+ reports to see whether the same dimension is being calculated differently in different reports. I need to be able to quickly download or print either the names of the formula fields as they appear in the report, ie if the formula name is @QueueName but "Queue Name" appears in the report then I need to get "Queue Name" listed. Obviously having to open, refresh and then open each drilldown on 600+ reports or pick through the Design screen is not going to be practical.

Thanks in advance for your help

You could export each report to "report definition" format, which dumps the specification (including formulas) into a text file. You could then search the text file for the formula definition.

You still have to open each report, but you don't have to run the report to export to RD.

You might also want to check out a tool called "Speed Specer". I have never used it but it might have a way to speed up the process. You could ask. It is one of the items on the "links" page of my web site but I don't endorse it or make a cent from it. Ken Hamady
