Hi,
When we import a universe from our live unv domain and rename an object then re-export the universe to the same domain and to our other test domains we get the "obsolete objects have been removed...." message.

When we query the repository the object id is the same accross all domains.

Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how I can get around the problem?

Thanks
Tony

From what I see you will have to reconstruct the query without the deleted objects. The error occurs during SQl generation because the query contains objects that the universe designer has removed from the query.

Maybe your environments are not exaclty alike?

Thanks so much!

Are you domains in the same repository?

Or are they connected to different security domains. If universes are moved between repositories, object_ID is no longer the important item as the universe id is different. Things are really based on universe name then.

We are using version 6.5.2 and the repository is on Oracle10g

All universe domains are in the same security domain.
The objects have not been deleted only renamed.

Thanks
Tony
