Object failed to run due to an unresponsive Job Server child process

HELP! We have a report scheduled on Crystal Enterprise which started running at 9am this morning and failed at 3pm this afternoon. The failed message was "Object failed to run due to an unresponsive Job Server child process". The only knowledge base article I can find about this error refers to reports scheduled in .pdf format - this one is scheduled as a .rpt. What else could this error mean?
