Help. I have cubes that I have published in the past that still work and update daily without issue. I logged on the with same root user name as before. However, for some reason, I now cannot seem to publish anything new or existing. "Object does not have write access". We are using v 7.3. and Windows 2003. I even made myself a root user (Access Manager), in addition to the one that was existing, just to see if it was something with our Active Directory and that particular login. I can see the doggone cube sitting in the ppsroot folder, pretty as you please, but is it publishing? nope.

I have done everything Cognos Support has suggessted.. log off common log on and logged back on.. yeah right... checked my access to the ppsroot(ensured that everyone has full rights)... made sure i'm logging on as a root user... I am a user with full administrative rights. In PPES our Default Portal is ReportNet. The Folder Settings, under Publishing is Upfront Server Group. Enable personal newsboxes is checked. Oh, and I have reset the server. I was not the one who set the whole thing up, however, the administrator who did, gave me a few suggestions and nothing. The funny thing is I have write access to just about every file and folder in the company, but I can't publish to ReportNet.

anyone? i'm sure it is something basic that i am missing thanks!

Is your 'Imported Reports' folder in PPES disabled? I had the same type of drama, and it was resolved by re-enabling the 'Imported Reports' folder.
