We are using PPLAY Web and Enterprise SErver Admin version 7.1.341.2 (7.1 MR1)
We have several "base" cubes that we build and publish (to refresh the data) everyday. Our users manipulate the cubes and then very often "SAVE AS" to their own Newsbox.
Today, all of a sudden, ONE of these base cubes gets an error when doing a "SAVE AS". We get the screen that lets us type in a title and description of the report and choose to save it to our own newsbox.
When we click OK, we get a red screen application error that reads:
"The object of type (Newsitem)cannot be created because it references a non-existing object."
The user's newsbox DOES exist, the cube that they manipulated obviously exists, the new report they are trying to save does not yet exist, as is expected.
We have had sesveral different users with different levels of security and access try this, as well as we have ttried it logged on as ADMINISTRATOR. Same error no matter what.

Has anyone seen this before ? Any help would be greatly appreciated !

I believe we ran into this problem a while back and it was a space issue. Check that your Upfront and Powerplay directories on your server are not full.

Update: Cognos suggests that you need to remove and reinsert the cube into Powerplay Enterprise Server. See Cognos knowledgebase document 1001638.
