Hi,

Hope somebody can help!!!

I am trying to use the Object Browser which comes with VFP 9, but I am getting an error when I try to open the components. The error says "Error instantiating Typelib component. Please make sure TLI.TLIApplication is installed on your system". Does anybody know why I cannot use it. Another developer in our department tried on his system, but he is getting the same error.

Any help would be appreciated.

Jose.

It sounds like you are trying to open a component that is not COM.

craigber,

Thanks for the reply!!!

The component I am trying to open is listed in the COM Library. I do not know if I need to install anything. As the error says the "TLI.TLIAplication" needs to be installed.

What is the TLI.TLIAplication?

Thanks.

Jose.

What is the TLI.TLIAplication?
A quick Google search gave me this cached page:

See if it enlightens any.

But I don't get the same error when I use the object browser. Maybe you have a bad VFP install or maybe the component isn't installed properly?
Have you installed the service pack?
