Object actions dimmed

I'm trying to assign actions to my buttons but all actions in the object actions palette are dimmed. Was able to assign an action ("get url&quot to one of the buttons but when I went back to edit it (to change the url), everything in the object actions palette was dimmed. Then when I tried to assign an action to the next button, the same, all dimmed.

I can assign an action to the frame but not to the object in the frame. I'm clicking on one object only, not more than one.

I'm sure there is some simple solution and I'm just too green to know what I'm doing wrong! Thank you in advance!

To add actions to an symbol you have to select it (the blue rectangle should appear on it) and then press Ctrl+A (flash5) or F9 (FlashMx).

Hope that i have understood well what was your problem.
