Follow Comarades,

I have a situation. I'm having trouble connecting my Access 2000 database to Visual Basci 6. I get the error message "Database is in unrecongnized format". I use Access as the Connection in the connection property field and no help. I even tried configuring the ODBC driver files to accept my database. I think the problem is the the drivers only accept Access 97 databases and not Access 2000. Any existence is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely Razasharp

I solved this on my home office machines ... here's how:

You need at least Service Pack 4 (for Visual Studio and/or VB) and MDAC 2.5. They can be downloaded from the MSDN site. When correctly installed you will see ACCESS 2000 in the Connect property rather than just ACCESS.

I still am having problems at work (not sure why)
