Hey all,

I've inherited responsibility for an exchange 2010 server. Clients range from outlook 2003 to outlook 2007.

I created a user with a mailbox on 9/9/10, it is now 9/13/10 and they do not show up in my offline address book. If I go into my webmail, they do show up.

I'd like to verify they are in my global address list (which I believe I've done by checking webmail?), that it is indeed in the current version of my offline address book, and that I can download it and see the results in my office 2007.

My OAB Distribution (server config, client access) is set to 360 min and a website. I've tried outlook, tools, send/receive, offline address book, (uncheck download changed, make sure full details) and hit ok to download the new, and it seems to go in fine, no errors visible, progress bar moves along.

Is there something else I ought to check? Some way to verify functionality?

Thank you for your help, or at least for reading this =)

A new users that shows up in OWA is in the GAL. If the OAB has been regenerated, and the Outlook client has downloaded the OAB, you should see it. The OAB generation/download can take a couple of days under some circumstances. I'd look at the mailbox server that's responsible for generating the OAB and see if it's reporting any errors.
