Hi all,

Is this the correct drive? (y/n): y

Installing System drive 1. Please wait...

Press any key to continue.

Can someone help? Thanx...

well yes it is telling you the drive you are trying to add is bad and can't be initialized.

Have you tried a different drive?

Thanx, but I have tried another drive with the same result. BTW, I can enable both drives in another system.
I'm suspecting problems on the currently working drive 0.
Thoughts?

that is possible but the error is saying it can't init the destination not the source.

Did this system ever have a drive 1 or has it always been a 1 drive system?

At one time they had systems that you could only have one drive in and this may be one of them.

If you look at the tag on the back is it a 250 or some other odd name?

Also can you post he error from the status log ?

Thanks for the reply Ken,
<Did this system ever have a drive 1 or has it always been a 1 drive system?>
It's been 2 drives up until a power outage. The original intent was to replace drive 1

Definitely an O250

I'll try tomorrow from the office..

Thanx again

Try replacing drive 1, or un-installing drive 1, then installing the new drive. If the old drive failed, and it was not removed or un-installed completely, a install of drive 1 will fail

Ya if drive one is still installed that might be it.
