O16 T/R Mods Noisy

I have some Magix 016 T/R Mods Model 617E34 that have a moderately high level background noise -- hiss with a little fried eggs on the side.

They are APV 22 which I think is the highest to date.

Is this a known problem with some versions of these boards?

Does anyone know of an AVAYA recall for this problem?

Not sure if it is a "common" problem or under recall ... but we have repaired a number of these 016TR modules with similar problems. It is a component level repair problem as are most of the other similar problems (line noise/static etc.) with any Partner/Legend/Magix line modules.

One thing to check though ... just because it has APV 22 doesn't mean that the board is a newer release as even an older Legend 016 TR board can be put into a Magix front cover and upgraded to look like it is a newer release Magix 016TR. Just need to be careful with some of the "tricks" going on in the market....

Check the QCCPN's on avaya's website. I have read something about the 016 cards on the magix with this problem.
