A client of mine has a Compaq and OE has a lower pane that persists in opening with Compaq stuff. Any ideas how to get rid of it? This is an elderly lady and she needs all the screen space there is and as little clutter as possible. Many thanks.

I don't know if this will help, but open OE and goto View > Layout if you haven't tried already.
