I want to do a server “upgrade” from a DL380 G2 to an ML350 G2 or 3 to gain precious PCI slots. My question is can I just move my existing SCSI adapter and drives to the new system as long as the correct NIC drivers and what not are installed?

I am basically asking if anything in NetWare or NDS recognizes the CPU/motherboard and if this transferance will cause issue. I know it will work on the hardware level.

You shouldn't have any problem with this at all.

Note..

- STARTUP.NCF - you'll need to check the HAM drivers for the correct slot number.

- Autoexec.ncf or INETCFG -- you'll need to modify the drivers and/or slot number for the NIC.

After that's done, i would also apply the latest Compaq support pack which as of now is PSP 7.10
