Hello,
I use a IBM 3584 library install on a RHEL 3.
The library is configure in NW to use IBM drivers.
I have the following problem:
In NW I find a lot of tapes written above the capacity, for example a LTO2 tape with capacity 200-400 in NW has 1000GB.
I try to recover something from this tape without any success.
I verify the tape with the scanner and I notice that label of the tape is BAD, I suspect was rewritten.
In /var/messages, I found a lot of messages, like:
IBMtape1---52218 IBMTapeCheckResult() SenseKey: 2 ASC: 4 ASCQ: 2
IBMtape3---52348 IBMTapeCheckResult() SenseKey: 2 ASC: 4 ASCQ: 2
IBMtape0---52683 IBMTapeCheckResult() SenseKey: 6 ASC: 28 ASCQ: 0

I suspect a SCSI bus reset.
Pleas help .
