Hi,

I want to backup an Exchange and SQL Server cluster formed by 2 nodes (active-passive) with NetWorker and I don't know about licensing request.

Do I need 2 Application modules for Exchange and SQL Server (because I have 2 nodes) or with 1 module is enough ?

I hope your help.

Thank you

In general, licensing is per physical node. However, in a cluster, only active nodes count. Consequently, an active-active installation would need 2 licenses.

Also note that the NW module licenses for Windows are tiered as follows:

Tier 1 1 CPU
2 2 CPUs
3 4 CPUs
4 8+ CPUs

Can you check that licenses I require are (infrastructure will be 2 servers in cluster active/passive connected to a disk cabinet and a tape autoloader:

1 NetWorker Server NetWork Edition
2 NetWorker Cluster Client
1 NetWorker module for Exchange
1 NetWorker module for SQL Server

Thank you

Are you thinking of clustering NetWorker too or what is the plan?

Licenses are o.k. if the databases run on once cluster each.
