Hi,
We have some strange issues with our licenses.
What we have:
*Networker for windows 10 clients per server
*Linux Clientpacks

We want to backup our windows clients with the first license and our linux clients with the second. Now there are 8 linux clients and 2 windows clients to backup. So far no problem. Yesterday we want to add a new windows client, but when we want to backup this one we get:

server info: Unable to grant SERVER (UNIVERSAL) CLIENT license to client xxxxx : Too many clients. Maximum is 10.

When we do nsrlic -v we can see that all our linux clients are in the list of server universal clients and not in the extra clientpacks for linux list. Someone with a solution?

thx

Hi esdeedee!
The ClientPak for Linux license only onlocks the feature to backup Linux clients to a Windows backupserver, it does not contain any Client Connection licenses. Your base enabler, Networker for windows 10 clients per server, contains 10 Client Connections licenses (1 of those licenses will probably be allocated by the backupserver itself, leaving 9 left for your clients). If you have more than 10 clients, you will need to buy a bundle of Client Connections licenses, sold in 5 and 25-packs usually. Check the Media Kit if you have one, and you´ll find some temporary enablers to get things started while you wait for the real licenses.

Cheers!
Maverick
