NW Cards running 100/half and can't change

I have a HP Prolient DL 380 G5 with two onboard HP NC373i Multifunction Gigabit Server Adapter network cards.

When I set one of the cards to Auto/Auto and use DCHP the card appears in HP Network as 100/Full

When I set one of the cards to Auto/Auto and use a static address the card appears in HP Network as 100/half

When I set one of the cards to 100/full and use a static address the card loses network connectivity


This problem happens when
• I try it on both cards
• When I disable one card and try it on another
• When I Team the cards it happens on the Teamed connection

I have updated the drives to the latest and have it running at 100/half which is not good enought because its a busy server.

Anybody any ideas for me? pulling my hair out as this stage.

You can never hard code just one end of an ethernet wire to Full Duplex.

If you have a managed switch, you can try to hard code BOTH ends to Full Duplex.
